Minister - H. Dean LaVelle came to Bible Christian Church from First Christian Church in Coweta, Oklahoma in 1970.  At the time of his call to Arkansas City, he was serving as camp manager for northeastern Oklahoma churches and was president of the Alumni Association of Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City.

In addition to his 5-year ministry with First Christian Church of Coweta, Oklahoma, he served 4 years at Shidler, Oklahoma and had other ministries with First Christian Church of Cashion, Oklahoma, Union Home Church of Christ in Stillwater, Oklahoma and served as associate minister with Paseo Street Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dean and his wife, Phyllis, have been married for 55 years and have three children. Gary and wife Robbie (Blanchard, OK), Deanne and husband John (Arkansas City, KS), and Grant and wife Anissa (Carl Junction, MO).  They have twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Youth Minister - Allen Carter  comes to Bible Christian Church after graduating from Ozark Christian College in 2008.  Allen, while in college served as Youth Minister for 3 ½ years at First Christian Church in Afton, OK.  His ministry in Afton grew steadily under his leadership and dedication.  He began his duties with BCC in November 2008.

Allen and his wife Heather have been married since May, 2006.  Allen is a "Timothy" of BCC and a graduate of Arkansas City High School.

Board of Elders & Deacons

Trustees:  Clifford Hensley, Steve Hensley and Norman Thompson

Church Secretary - Virginia Burkett began serving on October 15, 2007.  She and her husband Karl have been members of BCC for 20+ years.  Virginia has made many beautiful banners for the church and takes care of the floral arrangements and decorations for the sanctuary.

Church Custodian - Janice Thompson  takes care of cleaning and maintaining the old building.  Janice and her family have been active members of BCC for 20+ years.   She also works as a Building Aide at C-4 Elementary School.

Fellowship Center Custodian - Jennifer Darby and her family take care of cleaning and maintaining the Family Fellowship Center.  She is a busy wife, mother and home school teacher of her 8 children.  Jennifer also organizes and cooks for our Wednesday night fellowship meals.  Jennifer and her family become active members at BCC in 2008.

Maintenance - Larry Evans takes care of all the odds and ends.  He makes sure things are up and running.  He and his wife Louise have been active members of BCC for many years coming to us after being house parents for Cookson Hills Christian School in Kansas, OK.
